About Us

Three years ago I was expecting my first baby, and it was one of the toughest periods of my life. What made this so bad was the lack of sleep!

It was frustrating to lie awake all night, feeling dead tired but unable to sleep.

Eventually, I would see the sky getting brighter, knowing it was time to get up. But I had barely slept!

I was getting through each day feeling like a zombie, and my sleep never got better.

I considered taking sleeping pills, but came across several articles showing how they could cause side effects for my baby and decided not to.

I looked to natural alternatives instead, and realized I fit the symptoms for magnesium deficiency (broken sleep, leg cramps, stress and anxiety, low energy levels)!

I initially tried oral magnesium supplement, but they didn’t help much and caused diarrhea (on the bright side, at least that helped me poop!)

I did some more reading and realized that oral magnesium regularly caused diarrhea and did not absorb well. A better way to supplement would be transdermally (through the skin).

But the magnesium oils I tried made me itch and burned my skin, so that wasn’t a solution either!

Ultimately, I ended up making my own version of a magnesium lotion. One that would help me sleep better AND moisturize my skin.

This lotion changed my life during my second pregnancy! I slept SO much better!

No more leg cramps, restless legs, or aching hips and back!

Eventually, word got around and people started requesting for jars of this magnesium lotion.

That's when I decided to start 8 Sheep to make this lotion available to everyone!
